On May 19th, we traveled to West Point for a long delayed formal presentation ceremony for the $100,000 gift that permanently endows an AIAD in memory of 1LT Daniel Hyde. It was a wonderful day to be together, meet the cadets who lead Daniel's cadet company (E4) and meet the educators who will manage the scholarship and teach the cadets who benefit from the endowment.
This was all made possible through your donations. Thank you all so much for your generosity. We are so proud to have Daniel's name on this prestigious study program, and to know that his memory will live on at West Point for years to come.

Steel Hearts and Paintru partnered to paint a portrait of every US service academy graduate killed in action in the Global War on Terror. Each portrait will be gifted to the graduate’s family, and will hang in a place of honor selected by the family.
The Hyde Foundation is proud to donate $3,500 to cover the costs of the portraits of the members of USMA class of 2007 who were killed in action. For more information about the project and how to donate, click the link here: gofundme.com/f/steel-hearts-x-paintru
We wanted to say a special thank you to our friends at Legacies Alive, whose generous donation put us over the top to complete our fundraising campaign for a West Point AIAD scholarship. Legacies Alive's mission is to strengthen and support the Gold Star families of our nations's fallen heroes and to bring national awareness to the life and character of all service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice. We are so grateful to them for their support and partnership!
