What a full circle moment running the Modesto Marathon course again and completing the 13.1-mile half marathon!
In 2010, I started running these streets as a student in the Teens Run Modesto program. Now, I had the chance to be out here covering it for ABC10 and that same program just minutes before the race began.
One of the most special moments was seeing the mentors from my middle and high school years who helped spark my love for running in the first place 🙌
Grateful for the miles, the memories, and the community that keeps showing up year after year ❤️
MODESTO MARATHON WEEKEND: Thousands of runners will be gathering in Downtown Modesto for the 2026 Modesto Marathon. Proceeds from the race benefit the Teens Run Modesto program, helping locals teens train to run a full or half marathon. ABC10

2010: I stood at the News10 booth at the California State Fair pretending to do the weather…
2026: Standing in front of a real map, ACTUALLY doing the weather at the same station, now ABC10! (My first story was also covering the California State Fair) 🎡
The career foreshadowing is WILD and so glad to have found this 16 year old gem ❤️🌦️📺
