Due to the recent severe weather and unforeseen circumstances, the gym is currently undergoing necessary repairs. As a result, we need to adjust our league schedule to ensure a safe and quality experience for all players, families, and staff.

The first league game has been rescheduled.
• Original Opening Day: January 10, 2026
• New Opening Day: January 17, 2026

The league will now run from January 17 through February 21, 2026.

The league schedule is currently posted online and will be updated later tonight to reflect these date changes. Once the updates are complete, the schedule posted on the website will be the most accurate version moving forward.

Additionally, a separate email will be sent out with updated jersey pickup dates and times once those details are finalized.

We understand that schedule changes can be inconvenient, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause. Safety and facility readiness remain our top priorities, and this adjustment allows us to move forward without compromising the experience for our players.

Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and continued support. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to officially kicking off the season on January 17.

Best regards,
Natalie & Dennie Mixon

Our Story

Our journey with the Modesto Youth Basketball League began three years ago when we were given the opportunity to take over a long-standing program that meant so much to the community. What started as a responsibility quickly became a passion. We saw the potential to not only continue the legacy of the league, but to elevate it — creating a place where kids could grow, families could connect, and basketball could bring out the best in everyone.

Before taking on MYBL, we had already built a strong foundation through our basketball training business, AllOut Training. Players and families trusted us, believed in our approach, and valued the structure and development we offered. Merging the two — the league and the training program — felt natural. It allowed us to create something stronger, more organized, and more impactful for young athletes in Modesto.

From the very beginning, we made one promise: MYBL would be a league run with love, integrity, and consistency. We chose to stay hands-on, involved, and accessible. Parents don’t deal with layers of staff — they deal directly with us. We show up, we communicate, and we take care of the families who trust us with their kids.

Over the years, we’ve worked hard to build a program that reflects our values:
• Family first
• Player development over politics
• A safe, positive environment for all kids
• Consistency, integrity, and accountability

As parents of athletes ourselves, we understand how important it is to feel confident in who’s guiding your children. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. Every player — whether they’re picking up a basketball for the first time or returning for their fifth season — deserves our best effort, our full attention, and a league they can be proud to be part of.

Our story is still being written, season after season, family after family. And we’re grateful to every player, parent, and coach who has helped shape MYBL into what it is today.

This is more than basketball.
This is community.
This is family.
This is MYBL.

What Our League Is All About

MYBL is designed for kids ages 4–12 to learn the game, build confidence, and have fun in a positive, structured environment. We focus on fundamentals, teamwork, and giving every player the space to grow — no politics, no drama, just basketball done right.

Our league also serves a larger purpose in our community. MYBL proudly supports the Downey High School Boys & Girls Basketball programs. Each season, Downey’s basketball players volunteer their time to coach and mentor our younger divisions. It’s a full-circle partnership that helps fund their high school program while giving your kids strong role models on and off the court.

About the Owners

MYBL is owned and operated by us — Dennie and Natalie Mixon.
We took over the league three years ago, and it has been one of the most rewarding experiences for our family. Before MYBL, we built a strong foundation through our basketball training business, AllOut Training. Merging our training structure with league play created a program that is organized, development-focused, and truly centered on kids.

Hands-On Leadership

One thing that sets MYBL apart is that families work directly with the owners and leadership team.

Throughout the entire six-week season, Natalie and Dennie will be in the gym every Saturday, walking around, checking on each court, and staying available for any questions or concerns. If you ever need anything — whether it’s about schedules, uniforms, evaluations, or your child’s experience — please feel comfortable coming up to talk with us.

You can also email us anytime at:
📧 [email protected]
We check emails daily and are always happy to help.

Snack Bar Every Saturday

We’re excited to offer an awesome snack bar every Saturday, stocked with drinks, snacks, and hot food options for families and players.
All proceeds from the snack bar go directly back into the Downey High School basketball programs. Supporting the snack bar means supporting the same high school athletes who volunteer their time each week to coach and mentor your kids.

Our Commitment to You

Our league is built on values that guide everything we do:
• Family first
• Player development over politics
• A safe, positive environment for all kids
• Consistency, integrity, and accountability

Thank you for choosing MYBL. We’re excited for a great season and can’t wait to see your kids on the court!

If you need anything at all — in person or by email — we’re here for you.

Warmly,
Dennie & Natalie Mixon
