Every Ruff Draft dog goes home vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed/neutered (or with a spay/neuter plan if age-appropriate).

The starting lineup is looking pretty strong this week… but remember, the best players don’t stay on the roster for long. Come early, meet the team, and find the forever friend you’ll be cheering for long after the final whistle.

🚨 Friday Night Lights Update 🚨

In true Ruff Draft fashion, we always put Dogs First. Always. Today is no exception.

Due to the poor air quality and heavy smoke in the area, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s Friday Night Lights event at Book Bar. While we’re disappointed, we’re simply not comfortable asking our dogs to spend an extended period of time outdoors in these conditions.

The good news? We’ll still be at both of our indoor adoption events this weekend!

🎉 A Little Early… But We Couldn’t Wait.

Our official six-month anniversary isn’t until July 21st, but with our July Spotlight series starting soon (👀 follow along!), we’re celebrating early.

And today marks a milestone worth its own moment…

❤️ Today, Ruff Draft celebrated our 100th adoption.

When we opened on January 21, 2026, our goal was simple: give dogs a second chance and help them find loving homes.

Six months later, we’ve met incredible people who believe in that mission just as much as we do.

Along the way…

🐾 100 dogs have found forever homes.

🐾 148 dogs have received vaccinations, microchips, deworming, spay/neuter surgery, and essential medical care.

From dentals and heart evaluations to parvo treatment and more, we’ve learned rescue rarely follows a script.

We’ve stepped in when partners were overwhelmed, answered calls for help, celebrated adoptions, and supported dogs through tough moments—watching them grow into beloved family members.

While Ruff Draft doesn’t have a physical shelter, we’ve built something just as meaningful—a network of foster families and community partners who open their doors so dogs can meet their future families. These adoption events are where lives change, and we’re deeply grateful to every volunteer, foster, donor, adopter, and supporter who makes them possible.

Rescue isn’t always easy, but every late night, transport, vet visit, application, and shared post has been worth it.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in our mission.
