Simply Sol Farm

The winter flooding hit us hard this year. We had 3+ inches of rain all in one day and some trees had fallen in our creek, creating a dam that we couldn’t see. The water overflowed and washed out a big part of our driveway, spreading gravel all around our lawn, making a serious mess. Luckily, the chainsaw and some elbow grease got it all cleared up! We’ll see how it does this week with the projected rains, I’ve got my fingers crossed that this is the end of the saga.

I’m gonna be doing more wellness checks on the creek from now on, because we probably could have prevented this if we had been checking on different parts of the creek more often….you live and ya learn I guess 🤷🏽‍♂️
