Today is voting day in Georgia!
Don't forget promises made and promises not kept.
It's critical that we vote for those who want to keep spending down and transparency with the citizens who voted them in and are paid with our taxes.
Join me today and do your civic duty.

WALTON IN ACTION FRIENDS

Are you still frustrated about the “no new taxes” promise that wasn’t kept?
Are you concerned about the 19.55% tax increase that followed?

Have the actions and treatment of those who disagree left you feeling unheard or disrespected?
Are you troubled by threats against citizens exercising their right to petition and protest?

If so, we need you.

Show up. Be seen. Be heard.
Join us at the new courthouse tomorrow and let Mr. Thompson see the faces of the people he represents. Bring your signs. Stand in support of our friends. Let it be known—we are not going away.

And there’s another powerful way to make your voice count:

VOTE.

Unaccountable leadership continues when people stay home during local elections. Too often, city and county races are decided by low turnout—and that’s how the status quo holds on.

Early voting is happening now.
It’s quick, convenient, and usually has shorter wait times.
Voting continues through May 19, 2026.

Your voice matters—but only if you use it.

Thank you to everyone standing with us.

YOU ARE THE POWER.

Walton In Action needs your support today.

We’re facing over $50,000 in legal fees defending the volunteers who stepped up during the recall effort. These are not outsiders or organizations - they are members of this community who chose to participate in the democratic process to represent all citizens of Walton county that felt taken advantage of and ignored by their local government.

That decision is now costing them in more ways than 1…some are still facing felony charges and arrests.

If you believe citizens should be able to engage without fear of being financially buried for it, we’re asking you to stand with us.

We cannot do this alone.

Every donation matters. Every share helps.

Citizens, this is a call to action. We need you to show up and support our friends who are facing prosecution for using their free speech. We need signs and people ready to protest outside the courthouse to make some noise so they can hear our voices calling out in support of our friends. This is YOUR time to stand up with us and show those in charge that we are still here and still fighting for the citizens of Walton County.

Yesterday in court, during a hearing on attorney fees and sanctions filed against Thompson’s attorney, Kevin Epps, Senior Superior Judge Neal Dickert said (paraphrased from courtroom observers):
“Why are you doing this? … You won the hearing and the recall was defeated. The next thing I hear is that you took out arrest warrant applications. My sense is that these people are not criminals.”

For those not following - this is about citizens involved in the Walton In Action recall effort. The recall was already defeated in court.

And yet… it didn’t stop there. That’s not coming from Facebook. That’s coming from the bench.

Win the case. Defeat the recall. Then go after your own constituents anyway?

Walton County deserves leadership, not retaliation.
