"Cadosia Street exploring folk and roots music on their latest album, “The River Inside of Me.”

Cadosia Street is a band with a very organic and down-to-earth approach to making music. The group could be described as organic, spontaneous, and dynamic, bringing acoustic instruments to the forefront and bringing more value to the actual ebb & flow of the music brought on by the chemistry of the musicians in the line-up. Cardosia Street’s most recent studio album, “The River Inside of Me,” is an ambitious and dynamic studio work, which highlights the band’s format over the span of 18 tracks. This is a pretty notable undertaking, especially when considering that there aren’t many artists today attempting releases on such a large scale!

The opening track is an immediate indicator of what to expect. From bright acoustic melodies to soothing vocals and minimalistic drums, “Split Personality” goes for a timeless approach that fits the sound of the band. “Best of My Heart” is another notable highlight. This song offers an alt-folk aesthetic in the vein of artists such as Wilco or The Tallest Man On Earth, with a very understated instrumental that accompanies the emotion of the vocals to perfection. “Turtle Soup” is another highlight. The song offers an electric twist, with soaring bluesy licks and a slightly psychedelic atmosphere. This track highlights the broad range of the band and the varied creativity that went into the making of this album, which is highly recommended to fans of bands such as Calexico, R.E.M., or Francis Moon, only to mention a few!"
