A name is more than a label, it is identity, it is dignity, and it is belonging.
Thanks to a generous donor, the Pride Center of Montclair is funding 12 court filing fees of $250.00 for legal name changes for members of the trans and non-binary community. If you are interested, please email [email protected]

Help Us Bring Dignity, Hope, and Care to Our Community.
The Pride Center of Montclair is proud to support a Mobile Showering Unit Initiative designed to provide access to clean showers, hygiene supplies, and compassionate care for our unhoused and vulnerable neighbors.
This effort would not be possible without the incredible partnership and dedication of First Lutheran Church Ministry, Tapestry Collective NJ, Reach Out Montclair, and Archangel Raphael’s Mission.
Together, we are working to meet immediate needs while restoring dignity and connection for those facing hardship.
To make this initiative a success, we need your help!
1. Donate
Every dollar counts. Scan the QR code to donate
2. Volunteer
Assist with setup, hospitality, outreach, and day-of operations.
If you would like to volunteer, please email [email protected]
Every shower, and every act of kindness sends a powerful message: You matter. You are seen. You belong.
Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more compassionate community.

If you are going to donate to make a personal and grassroots impact in our local community, please donate for Leo’s return.
A few weeks ago, Leo shared his talent with our community, creating incredible pastries for Faubourg's Flavor of South America event and helping make the Latinos of Montclair tasting such a special day.
Today, he needs our help.
On June 1, Leo was detained by ICE while entering a shopping center in Buffalo, New York. In an instant, a talented pastry chef, friend, and family man was separated from the people who care about him most.
Leo has a pending asylum case, a valid work permit, and a Social Security number. He has worked hard, followed the process, and built a life here.
His family and supporters are raising funds to help cover legal fees, bond, court costs, and emergency support while they work to bring him home.
If you're able to contribute, please consider donating. If you can't, sharing this post can make a real difference.
Leo has given so much to the communities he's been a part of. Let's show up for him now.

Pride month!
A global observance rooted in the Stonewall Uprising of June 1969, when q***r and trans New Yorkers resisted a police raid on the Stonewall Inn. Pride is both a celebration of how far we've come and a protest against how far we still have to go.
This month:
- attend as many flag raisings and pride events as you can.
- Keep learning about our history.
- Avoid profit based, rainbow washed apparel from corporations and businesses, and support local LGBTQ+-owned businesses.
- Keeping our money in our community this month is a form of resistance!
- Hire q***r and trans staff

Great news!
The New Jersey Senate approved a bill Thursday aimed at protecting abortion seekers and transgender healthcare patients, along with their medical providers, from legal and in-person threats, a move that comes nearly years after the bill’s supporters first introduced the measure.
Thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly to ensure this bill introduced and passed. We are in deep debt to you!

So very proud of our friend and Advisory Committee member, Simone Kraus, for her tireless advocacy and for again testifying, this time before the Senate Health Committee, helping move this important bill forward. 👏👏👏
A heartfelt thank you as well to everyone who has been doing the hard, often thankless work over the long haul to make progress possible — especially our friends at Garden State Equality, and in particular Lauren Albrecht, for their unwavering leadership and dedication.
