This Fourth of July, we join the nation in marking an extraordinary milestone: 250 years! That’s two and a half centuries of communities coming together, looking out for one another, and finding ways to support each other through all the seasons of life.

The spirit of community is at the heart of everything Hospice Giving Foundation does. We see it every day in the families who show up for one another, the volunteers who give their time, the caregivers who offer their hands and hearts, and the neighbors who stay present when being there is what matters most.

As we celebrate what we share as a country, we are grateful to be part of this community and honored to walk alongside so many of its members during life’s most tender moments.

After almost 6 years with Hospice Giving Foundation, we are saying goodbye to Erandi Escareño as she begins an exciting new chapter.

During her time with us, Erandi championed advance care planning and end-of-life education, led the Juntos con Esperanza collaborative to improve access to quality care and services for Latinx communities in South Monterey County, supported marketing and communications efforts, contributed to grant writing, strengthened community partnerships, and so much more.

For five years, she also led our annual Día de los Mu***os celebration in collaboration with Hartnell College and Hijos del Sol Arts Productions, developing an impactful event that honors culture, remembrance, and community.

We are grateful for Erandi’s passion, dedication, and perspective on our mission. Please join us in thanking her for her many contributions and wishing her continued success in what comes next!
