Because we are a small company, we are always looking to recruit candidates who share our entrepreneurial spirit, are excited about supporting our mission, and can help us grow. You will not be a number in a system or a small cog in a big machine; you will be an integral part of every aspect of the business and your opinion will be valued.
Location: All internships will take place in Mt. Airy, NC at the VCS Headquarters. We will provide housing in Mt. Airy at no cost for the duration of the internship. In previous years, we have rented houses for interns to share and applicants should expect similar accommodations.
Timeline: To accommodate varying school schedules, our internships typically run from late May until the middle of August with some flexibility on both the start and stop dates.
Hiring Process: Applications, interviews, and hiring will be considered in a rolling fashion on a first-come, first-served basis. We will consider applicants for positions for which they are best suited. Preference will be given to those who are most likely to join us as full-time engineers after graduation (or after successful completion of the internship).
