The masseters are large muscles at the sides of your jaw used for chewing, smiling, grinding and more! When tox is placed it can have the benefits of:
- Jaw Slimming/Facial Contouring
- Relieve symptoms of TMJ/Jaw Tension
- Reduce teeth grinding
Botox temporarily weakens the muscle and shrinks the muscle over time - I often hear discourse that it gives people a ‘crooked smile’ but that is often due to the unintended effect of the risorius muscle being hit (function of pulling the mouth outward) which causes an uneven smile. Making sure accurate placement of tox in this area will alleviate and eliminate the risk of an uneven smile!
