Why would I move my body when I'm stressed? 🙄

✅All I want to do is to curl up under blankets and pretend my problems don't exist.

🍿I can also bring snacks and turn on Netflix to binge and numb the discomfort I am in.

💻Oh wait, I can also dive into work even more because it's joyful and keeps me away from my reality.

But in reality, I am drained.

Overwhelmed. Stressed
And want to stop feeling this way.

Sounds familiar?

I went through this loop so many times.

❌Burnt out 3 times.

❌Sat in my chair until my b***y and neck were hurting.

❌Refused to see friends or spend time with my partner while I'm glued to my laptop.

What I didn't know for a while:

1️⃣ That the vagus nerve stimulation through workouts/movement is LIFE-changing. It can literally alter your state in 30 minuts. Vagus nerve runs through your entire body and can get you in Peace - Parasympathetic state from Stress (Sympathetic) state within minutes.

2️⃣ Stagnant energy sucks. How are you going to make more money/show up for your family/love yourself when you are sloth-ing away? :)

3️⃣ Rhythm is healing. There is research showing that dance, walking, hiking, even knitting and doing the monotonous movement with your body heals trauma, depression and helps with PTS symptoms.

Remember: it's not the STRESS-OR that affects you and knocks you off your feet. It is your RESPONSE to the stressor.

✅Single-task.

✅Honor your commitments.
✅Prepare and change the importance of stress in your life (the more you're talking and thinking about it, the more meta-stress you create)
✅Create at least 3 mindset/body practices that will go into your anti-stress toolbelt
✅Get more effing sleep. Seriously. It's a deal-breaker.
✅Talk to someone before that inner pressure cooker blows us.
