The Gathering

Sunday we were able to recognize two groups that are the heart beat of the church.

First we celebrated our LIT (leaders in training) students made up of 4th &5th graders. Students signed up for a 6 week course that challenged them to see themselves as leaders in the church NOW- not just when they are grown up. They came early to church each week, setting up, greeting families, holding babies, passing out donuts, and challenging themselves to deeper Bible study. We are so proud of these incredible kids.

Next we recognized our Captains. This group gained a new perspective on the phrase “your future will surprise you.” They learned how to have new eyes for people in places where they already are- giving them new purpose in life. We are beyond proud of their commitment to continuing to say “yes” in following Jesus to the made for more life.

We heard we are known as the donut church 😆🍩
