These colorful views of the Hillside Inn capture a time when Route 97 was lined with family-run resorts and summer visitors came to Narrowsburg for lake days, fresh air, and a slower pace. Located on Feagles Lake (near the blinking light at 97 and Bridge St), the Hillside Inn welcomed guests year-round and proudly advertised itself as being "in the heart of the Ten Mile River Region." 🌲☀️

For many years, the inn was owned by local businessman Nat Feagles. Feagles sold the property in 1969, and seven years later, in 1976, a fire brought an end to the resort.

These postcards are little snapshots of a different chapter in Narrowsburg's history—when staying by the lake, sending a postcard home, and taking the scenic route were all part of the adventure. 💌✨
