A little before and after from The Way Station.
These bins have traveled a long way from Israel to get here—and if you’ve been following along, you know getting them through our doors was an adventure all its own. 😂
But they’re here.
Cleaned, assembled, and finally beginning to take their place on the shelves we’ve spent so many months imagining.
Soon, they’ll be filled with flour, grains, oats, beans, rice, and so many of the simple pantry staples we built this little mercantile around.
There is still work to do. Labels to print. Products to stock. Shelves to fill. Inspections to pass. A thousand tiny details between here and opening day.
But tonight, looking at these before-and-after photos, it feels a little more real.
The Way Station is coming to life. One bin, one shelf, and one very very long day at a time.
We can’t wait to welcome you through the door.
And thanks to the Stealy family for making all of this happen and bringing my very specific vision to life! They have done ALL of our woodwork and bin mounting! (Keep your eye out for Joe’s creations for sale at the shop!)

As we prepare to open The Way Station Mercantile, we’d love your help with something close to our hearts.
We’re creating a Community Jar Shelf.
Have clean mason jars or other food-safe glass containers tucked away in your cabinets? Instead of letting them collect dust, consider donating them to the mercantile.
When we open, this shelf will be available for anyone who forgets a container or is just beginning their refill journey. Donate a jar. Take a jar. Refill. Repeat.
It’s a small way we can reduce waste, care for God’s creation, and remind one another that community is built one simple act of generosity at a time.
If you’d like to contribute, keep an eye on our page—we’ll be sharing drop-off details soon!
Every jar has a story. Let’s help it continue.
