Financial literacy is valuable.
But it was never designed to heal financial trauma.
Knowing what to do and feeling safe enough to do it are two different things.
That's why conversations about money need to include both education and emotional well-being.
When we understand the human side of money, we create more meaningful and lasting change.
💬 Do you think financial wellness should include conversations about emotional health? Why or why not?

I'm honored to be recognized as a 2026 Honoree at the One Hundred Black Men of Color® Black Tie Gala & Awards.
Awards like this are meaningful, not because of the recognition itself, but because they reflect a growing awareness of conversations that matter.
For me, that conversation is financial trauma.
Every opportunity to speak, write, teach, and advocate brings us one step closer to helping individuals, families, and organizations understand that our relationship with money is about more than numbers. It's about our experiences, our healing, and the possibility of building a different future.
I'm grateful to everyone who's supported this journey, from readers and clients to colleagues, friends, and family. This recognition belongs to all of us.
Thank you to the One Hundred Black Men of Color® for this incredible honor. I'm looking forward to celebrating alongside so many inspiring leaders making an impact in their communities.
