Sneak peak at the incredible works we curated for a solo show by called “Symmetries of the Sublime” opening at on Thursday, January 12 th. Amy Myers (b. 1965, Austin, TX) is a New York-based artist whose superbly delineated abstract paintings and drawings take their inspiration from a childhood spent engaging in the study of and conversations about the nature of the universe, particle physics, biology, philosophy and the human mind. Like sound waves or water ripples, Myers’ undulating, converging, diaphanous symmetries are visual harmonies of our mysterious universe. The fundamentally unpredictable nature of the universe at the particle level and “the constant changing nature of all things drives my work and guides my process.”
