We are Red Hook Transfer Co. – a new breed of moving company that combines progressive and socially responsible business practices with a deep appreciation of workmanship, craft, and tradition.

We specialize in the packing, safe handling and transportation of everything from regular household goods and furniture to high-end design pieces and priceless works of art.

We're also experts in all types of installation work – from assembling furniture and shelving to disconnecting and reconnecting any home or office technology; from hanging paintings in homes and offices, to setting up entire gallery exhibitions; from installing chandeliers and other specialty lighting, to mounting that big flat screen in your new apartment.

Collectively, our founding partners - aka our "worker-owners" - have decades of experience in every facet of the moving business - having specialized in art handling and high-end residential moving at New York’s storied auction houses and having overseen the most complex corporate relocations and furniture installations at the city’s oldest and most trusted commercial moving firms.
