This October, “Lower East Side Yearbook: A Living Archive” opens at Abrons Arts Center!
“Lower East Side Yearbook: A Living Archive,” is an archival photo and storytelling project led by New York City photographer Destiny Mata about Lower East Side public housing residents and the importance of community memory.
This trailer offers a look into the exhibition, featuring a selection of images interspersed with clips from “Heat,” a documentary by Aicha Cherif , which will also be screening as a part of “Lower East Side Yearbook.”
