Meet the community of New Orleans, Louisiana! Our Sisters are located just outside New Orleans in a town called Metairie, where we have been since 1968.

Our community in New Orleans is a great example of how we live our life and apostolate within the local culture. If you have ever been to New Orleans, you know that when you’re there, Mardi Gras is not just the day before Ash Wednesday—it's a whole season! Many family-friendly Mardi Gras parades and celebrations go right past our bookcenter, and the Sisters often go out to take part, be with the people, and catch the onions and carrots that are tossed off the parade floats!

The Sisters in New Orleans are really involved in both the in-person and the online aspects of our apostolate. They serve in the bookcenter in Metairie, travel with books and materials to surrounding parishes in Louisiana, as well as further off in Mississippi and Texas, and give plenty of talks and presentations in the bookcenter, in parishes and schools, and online.

A couple of our Sisters there are authors, and do a lot of writing and presenting. One of the Sisters organizes and hosts an online book club a few times a year, and one of the Sisters is the manager and webmaster for our websites.
