Terrence A. Reese had the occasions to photograph Gordon Parks in hiks living room for a documentary-style photo-book called “Reflections.”
Reese commented on the recent HBO movie about Parks “Thank You Alicia Keys and Swiss Beatz for Producing the HBO special on Gordon Parks.It has shined a light on my Reflections Series... on Iconic African Americans. I photographed Mr. Parks in his living room in Reflections!”

“I didn´t want to feel how it felt; I wanted to explore how I felt while touching it. But suddenly La Bête (as she told me without speaking) started to glitch, to transform, to change. A feeling of despair ruled me, I did not want her to go now that I felt so familiar with its presence. I had to back away, I had to let go, I had to realize my decisions were not mine anymore, I realized they had never been, I realized that this had to change, but I could not do it in this place, this place was just showing me…so I waited, I patiently waited.”
