Fans are buzzing over what appears to be a subtle animation update for Felicia, one of Shrek and Fiona’s daughters, after a side-by-side comparison went viral online.
The images highlight a noticeable change in her eye color, with many viewers saying the newer version looks more expressive and closer to the character’s original design. The comparison quickly sparked a wave of jokes across social media, with some users playfully suggesting the studio went back and reworked the animation after receiving fan criticism.
One popular post joked that the creators were “so freaked out by the idea of Shrek’s daughter” that they redid parts of her appearance altogether.
While the change may seem small, it has reignited conversations about character design, animation quality, and how studios respond to fan feedback. Many praised the updated look, saying the revised eyes make Felicia appear more natural and emotionally engaging, while others are simply enjoying the hilarious online reactions.

He made one good movie and suddenly financial risk = moral superiority.
Guy Ritchie faced backlash after his art director revealed she earned less than $7,000 on a film that grossed nearly $300 million. His defense? The people who take financial risks deserve the biggest rewards. That logic might make sense if you’re the one writing the checks, but it feels very different for the crew members who worked months on set for pennies while the director banks nine figures.
“Deserve to be recognized” sounds nice in theory, until you realize recognition doesn’t pay rent.
The gap between what a movie makes at the box office and what the actual crew takes home is already wild. When the director leans on “financial risk” to justify $7,000 salaries, it starts to feel less like sound economics and more like a convenient excuse for why the person at the top gets almost everything.
