Last day of 6-day dissection course - focusing on removing the brain and spinal cord together.

Interesting finding this morning, as there appears to have been some osteomyelitis form between the cranium and dura matter.

Starting day 5 with the daily morning circle reading an entry from Gil Hedley’s book Heart of Service on introspection, and enjoying some Field Song.

Today we dive deeper into the viscera by exploring the thoracic cavity and uncovering more of what the body wants to teach us.

Day 4 wrap up!

Today was an intense day. We explored the abdominal cavity and found the above.
Interestingly enough, these were not reported on the report given in the previous post. That’s why you need to always treat the body in front of you and not only the reports!

Day 4 dissection course.

We’ve dove into the abdominal cavity to see what the above pathologies look and feel like in the human body.

Bob (not real name) is the donor/case study we’ve been researching.

Findings so far:
• adhesions between the small intestine and peritoneum along the same line where we saw scarring along the lines alba
• hardening and a right rotation of the liver
• enlarged ascending and descending colon

Looking forward to exploring and sharing more after lunch!
