is an award-winning historian and the master artisan behind San Francisco’s last ornamental plaster studio. For over 40 years, she has been the final guardian of our city’s architectural DNA.

This Hunters Point workshop is one of the most sacred spaces in San Francisco. It houses the city’s largest archive of plaster molds, which are the literal blueprints of our historic landmarks, from Victorian parlors to the Hotel Majestic.

Lorna is the last of her kind, protecting the architectural soul of our city, and her studio is a sanctuary that is fragile. We aren’t just sharing a story, we’re calling on our community to work with us to preserve a legacy that cannot be replaced.
