They say FIP PTSD is real.

Misty has been doing exceptionally well since we put her on experimental drug treatment for FIP in April 2022. She has regained her appetite (oh boy, has she), her energy, her humor, her silliness, her sass. She gallops to the table for food every time I step toward the kitchen. She brings me, and us, immense joy daily.

And yet, everyday, I am filled with some level of fear, dread, worry, and uncertainty that something is going to go terribly wrong. She'll stop eating. She'll stop grooming. She'll stop playing. She'll stop being a menace to me and when we are eating our takeout.

And so I brush her a little extra these days, give her a little (a lot) extra , and force a couple extra kisses onto her little face because she is my little warrior and she is going to make it to being cured of FIP. I have to believe it.
