💕 Fan crush alert! Clare here... I LOVE the art that Margo McDaid produces.
🎨 For more than 10 years, Margo Mc Daid, AKA Margo in Margate, has dedicated herself to painting daily in her Kent studio, in the South of England, UK, producing an impressive collection of artworks, with each piece reflecting a day in her artistic journey
🗯️ Margo says “I literally live to paint – every single day of my life starts the same way, as paintbrush in hand, I create work all day long. It is my joy and my passion, and every single inch of my studio is completely covered with works on paper and canvas.”
📣 Head down to the Affordable Art Fair in Chelsea this weekend to see, or grab yourself, one of her bold and colourful, joyful works of art. If you’re a swimmer (like me) check out her wonderful portraits of swimmers in all their glory.

📣 Meet Tony O’Neill, Author (and britnoter 🇬🇧) He’s launching his latest book, Forged Prescriptions, in a few weeks, and you’re all invited (we’ll be there)! It’s a short story collection brought to you via hip Hudson-based indie Far West Press ~ and features original cover art by one-time bad boy of the Young British Artists, Jake Chapman! Tony is a seriously interesting man…
📖 Born in Blackburn, Tony started as a keyboard and has played with acts like Soft Cell’s Marc Almond, Britpop-era band Kenickie, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and The Sneaker Pimps’ Kelli Ali.
🗽 After a stint in LA he landed in NYC nearly 20 years ago where he was signed by Harper Perrenial, and has successfully published several books.
📝 He’s co-authored a pair of New York Times bestselling memoirs: Hero of the Underground with Jason Peter and Neon Angel: Story of a Runaway with Cherie Currie (inspiring the movie The Runaways, starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.)
📽️ His book, Sick City, is being adapted into a limited series by American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis 🙌
🎬 As if all the books weren’t enough, he’s also ventured into screenwriting - his latest, Teenage Wildlife, is set during LA’s hardcore punk heyday, with filming beginning later in the year.
