Mammy, I miss you, in ways that words alone cannot formulate. You are and was the first woman I loved, but you set the bar so high, that you unintentionally messed up any relationship that I could have with a woman. I took for granted your unconditional love for me. I’m sorry for doing that. I didn’t know nor recognized the value at the time. You walked to own beat. You spoke your mind, even when it was met with resistance. You never hesitated to pursue things that peak your curiosity. You were a giver. I would come to you and ask you for money so that I could take a girl to the movies, and you would want to give me all the money that you had. You were annoying, but you were my annoying Queen. I remembered when papi and you used to argue, and I knew he was right, I stood by you. But privately I will tell you that he was right, but It didn’t sit right with me for 3 men to gang up on you. I left unexpectedly in 1992. It broke my heart having to say goodbye. But I knew it broke you. It took four years for us to finally reconnect. By the time I came back you have been abused by them motherf**kers. I’m sorry that I wasn’t there to protect you. I will never forgive them for that. You are and will always be the strongest one of all of us. Now they are trying to do the same to me. What they have done to you has to be rectified. I’m living the life that you wanted for me. It’s going to make you smile, that I went and worshipped. I allowed myself to opened to THE MOST HIGH. Now I know where my natural curiosity comes from. I miss kissing you on your forehead Ti Marie. I miss dancing with you. I miss you!
