While Covid rages on, the UK has decided all is well and has opened up, seemingly for good. Almost immediately, cases went parabolic even though testing is a fraction of what it was a year ago. And here I thought the US wore the crown of dumbest government in the Western world. Who knew!
All this would be laughable except people are dying. Almost exclusively the UN-inoculated. With the vaccine supply problem largely solved, at least in the West, those who have opted out have only themselves to blame. Harsh but true.
If you know some who are resistant or perish the thought, you are just a reminder that not getting poked is a very UN-FQ thing to do. Shame them, bribe them, do whatever it takes, otherwise I don't suspect this scourge will pass until mid-decade.
Seriously. 2025-ish. Call me dramatic but with this virus mutating its way through the Greek alphabet, just bet against me. I dare you. Happy to take that action - I might even give you odds...
While we're doing silly things as a species, why not a global sports event! I love the Olys but I'm with three out of four Japanese citizens - they should have been cancelled. Harsh but true.
