We are honored to announce Simgok House by have received the American Architecture Awards 2020.

Simgok House, located in Sungnam Korea, is a multifamily residential project which achieves privacy in a high-density village where new and old are co-existed. As many families in the current generation live apart, the project respects the condition while fulfilling the demand of connecting extended families under one roof.

Three volumes are strategically divided into four custom-fit designed units within a balance of the southern sunlight and views. The ‘Envelope’ allows both privacy while ‘Space Saving’ utilizes slippage for a balance of light, view, and amenities.

American Architecture Awards 2020 announced over 130 projects this year including Washington D.C. library by Norman Foster, Cadillac Showroom in Shanghai by Gensler, and Conrad Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. by Herzog & de Meuron/ Rottet Studio.
