A distressed Kenyan family has made an urgent appeal to the government to help rescue their son, Kiprotich Kaino, who they claim is stranded and in grave danger in Russia.

Kaino left Kenya after being promised a legitimate civilian job abroad, according to the family.

However, they now allege that he was deceived, forcibly enlisted into the Russian military, and deployed to an active conflict zone without his consent.
