The New York Jets made some significant changes to their logo for this upcoming season. Their previews logo was designed in 1998, but traces back to 1964. Undeniably the new logo is a huge improvement from the old, but isn't a ...touchdown.
From a design standpoint the logo does follow MOST of the logo design principals. The spacing between the football icon and typography is very tight which is logo 101.
The make or break point to this logo is the little football icon (that was used in the previous logo as well). A very unnecessary design element altogether; The logo itself is a football, why would you want to place a football inside of a football?

Very cool and interesting retro-styled pictograms designed for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. A throwback to the icons used in the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. Designed by Masaaki Hiromuri.
