Footsteps

Join us at Rockaway Beach on Friday afternoon, July 17, 2026 for a day of beach games, ocean swims, and the smell of sunscreen. The official meetup will be from 2:30 - 5:30 p.m., but you're welcome to arrive earlier and/or stay later. Exact beach location will be shared with those who register. RSVP at the link in your Weekly Program Update (WPU).

We’ll bring some blankets, drinks, and snacks. Feel free to bring your own for sharing, or not! You are welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing on the beach - some people wear bathing suits, some stay in their street clothes, and everything in between. This event is open to guests who are not members.

Footsteps will be closed from Friday, July 3, through Friday, July 10, to give our team some well-deserved time to rest, recover, and recharge. We look forward to reconnecting with you when we reopen on Monday, July 13.

Next week, the Footsteps team will come together for our annual Goal Planning Week. During this time, staff will focus on internal planning, cross-team discussions, and organizational reflection. This is an important opportunity for us to look back on the past year, assess our progress and learning, and plan the work and priorities for the year ahead. To ensure staff have the time and space to fully engage in this experience, most member programs, meetings, and groups will be paused throughout the week.
