When Bernie's campaign hired me to photograph him:
I made about six or seven exposures and then Bernie said impatiently "That should be enough" and he turned and went back to work.
Laughing is a sign of intelligence.

A short doc that I shot with Dina Perlasca will be showing this Friday at 6pm at the Rio Grande Theater in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Juan Quezada, the famous artist that started the renaissance of pottery in Mata Ortiz showed us around his ranch in Mexico, the the sites where he dug his clay, how he made his work in his studio, and spent an evening with Juan and some friends and a bottle of tequila around his fireplace, telling stories late into the night.
Funnily enough, I've never seen the finished film. Friday will be the first for me.
The showing is in collaboration with the University Art Museum's show of work from Mata Ortiz, by Juan and many of the artists that he trained and followed in his footsteps.
Another short doc, "The Renaissance of Mata Ortiz" by Scott Petersen will also be shown.
