The Living Grey.
This triangular baktus scarf became a very special project for me. As it gradually came together from pieces of silk, silk and mohair yarn, locks of sheep’s wool, and other fibers, I found myself exploring a complex inner state that many women know well. The name for this creature came to me even before the piece was finished.
To me, it feels like a living being. It invites you to discover how many shades can exist within something seemingly monochrome and understated, and how many stories those subtle tones can tell.
And it also has a completely different reverse side…

A bunch of very lightweight silk scraps. Pretty enough to make, for instance, a big size nuno scarf by added some fine merino roving and your fantasy.
100% silk:
Several colors of light organza, grey and blue chiffon, blue palette hand dyed silk gas (gauze fabric) and some grey sari silk yarn.

Deep blue, gray, black and light lime colors.

Dark blue, dark gray, black or dark green 18-19 microns merino roving recommend.
