Sketchwave Graphics

I got interested in this fun technique. This is my 4th application. I’m more into sketch/ink rather than painting but I love the flow of painting. Sketching the guidelines with sidewalk chalk i could go on and on but it’s supposed to be just a guideline! for painting lol. so I apply a bit too much and have to knock off some of the chalk before applying the bleach. Bleach is an interesting medium to use on black fabric. Painting clear coat and awaiting the effect so Shading is a challenge. I picked up a few tips. Here’s the most effective one for applying different tones. use 3 cups bleach/water ratios. 1/3rd (or less).. 1/2..and 100%“no cut” to get “dark” medium and lighter shades. I found it’s best to blend/shade it while saturated, once it dries the effect really pops out so u have to be careful going back over it. Like any technique you have to work it to get to know it. You can have quick fun with it or challenge yourself for more complex designs. This took me roughly 2hrs. The greatest most detailed works I’ve seen are not complete in one session.
