Our documentary is not about the stars of Paper Moon. It’s about the people and the communities that made Paper Moon the movie we all know and love.
We want to hear your stories and memories—whether you were there when it was made or grew up in the shadow of this legendary film.
Leave a comment below and we’ll follow up with you. We’d love to meet you when we’re in Kansas and Missouri at the end of the month—and possibly feature your story in our film. Czech Out Wilson Midland Railroad Hotel

Camelback Films is so honored to have our script, Occam's Beard, win TWO awards at the Travancore International Film Award - TIFA! 😉
Here’s a 2:30 taste of our new film, Paper Moon Rise—a journey back to Kansas and the legacy of Paper Moon.
Join us in Wilson, KS on May 1 for the Paper Moon Festival (all weekend long). We’ll be sharing a ten-minute preview of footage we shot in Kansas in Fall 2025, followed by a screening of Paper Moon.
We’ll also be set up in the Midland Railroad Hotel’s parlor recording interviews with anyone who loves the film—whether you were there or simply carry it with you. If you have photos, memorabilia, or personal mementos from the film’s creation or its impact, we’d love for you to bring them along and share your story.
Special thanks to the Midland Railroad Hotel for hosting this incredible weekend.

Alex Begler do you know the coordinates for where Marie’s house is? I understand it is around Lebenthal, but I don’t know the address or the coordinates. I saw you had commented on this shot before, but no one gave any specifics on where it is. Thanks! David Camelback Films

Join us on May 1st at the Midland Railroad Hotel in Wilson for a special screening of Paper Moon, along with a sneak preview of our documentary, Paper Moon Rise.
If you’d like to meet us—or share your memories, photos, home movies, or stories about what Paper Moon means to you—we hope you’ll come by.
We look forward to meeting you all!
