We personally do not endorse any of the charities that are post on the site. I do not have a clue if MS is not contagious or directly inherited.

Scientific Insights on Fasting and Remyelination
Myelin Regrowth Mechanisms: Studies in mice have shown that periodic 3-day cycles of an FMD can significantly reduce clinical severity and promote the regeneration of oligodendrocyte precursor cells (OPCs), which are responsible for building new myelin.
Killing Damaged Cells: Prolonged fasting (over 2–3 days) triggers apoptosis (programmed cell death) of "bad" or autoreactive immune cells that attack your myelin. When you resume eating, the body uses stem cells to generate "new" healthy immune cells.
Impact on Brain Structure: Emerging human research suggests that fasting protocols may help preserve brain volume and reduce grey matter atrophy. One 12-week study on intermittent restriction found improvements in brain cortex volume and reduced neuroinflammation.
Eye Muscles and Double Vision: While there is less specific data on eye muscles (like the re**us or oblique muscles), MS-related double vision is often caused by nerve signal delays in the brainstem. Restoring myelin on these nerves would, in theory, improve signal speed and help your eye muscles coordinate better.

Managing the Long Fast
For a 4-to-5-day fast, the metabolic switch to full ketosis—where your brain runs entirely on ketones—typically peaks after day 3. This is when researchers believe the most significant autophagy (cellular cleanup) and stem cell activation for myelin repair occurs
