Happy 4th of July from our team!! Be safe!

RRT raced at Owosso Michigan today. It wasn’t our best day but it was fun!

Fast Eddie started P7 and finished P2 out of 9 karts!! Great job Fast Eddie!! 🏁

Racin Jason had some handling issues and started P6 and finished P6

Fast Finney did not race in her feature as she was having some kart issues. Kart body was rubbing front tire pretty bad and bad bearing in the rear axel. Qualified 8th out of 10. Just not her night.

Practice, Heat and Feature from Wheelersburg.

So it is that time of year to buckle down. Team has had a series of graduation parties, a graduation, vacation and just needing to get in some work due to the weather.

Add in a brand new kart from Champion Performance Products fitted with it's Seay HiPerformance Codasur 175 that has not touched dirt yet.

So, we needed a night to test. The best chance was at Wheelersburg Raceway on Friday night.

Ed Vallette and Jason Finigan were not available for the night, so with their blessings I invited Dylan Wilson to step into the seat for us.

The plan was just to test. What happened?

The Champion Performance Products Seay HiPerformance 175 was a beast right off of the trailer.

The only changes we made all night was a little air pressure and prep. Went out and was the fastest kart each time it was on the track.

Unfortunately, we had first night out issues.

In the heat race, Dylan started from the pole and just drove away. We started the night on a new chain and new it would need tightened. We looked at it before the Heat. We decided it was a little loose but good. It wasn't and the chain popped while leeading.

Went out for the Main and started on the 3rd row, the tail.

By mid race, Dylan had sliced through the field and was chasing down the leader.

Then a weird one happened. We had a power switch mounted to a tab on the radiator. It controlled the water pump and fuel pump.

The little piece of aluminum snapped and the switch was on the ground. RIpped it off and that was the end of the night.

I will post videos next.

I want to say thank you to Champion Performance Products and Seay HiPerformance for all of your work, help and support both on the track and off. With these two power houses helping us along with Scott Ramey Racing Engines for our 450 power plants, we are truly blessed with suport.

Thank you to Five Three Titanium for their support as well. You need to check out all of the new stuff they have going on.

I was just about to write up our Tennessee trip, but see my man Jason Finigan had a great write up already.

We are home from Tennessee! The red clay @ Morrison Speedway was definitely something different from what I am used to racing on in Ohio!

Race day recap: we went out for 1st practice session and quickly found we were way off the mark and made a mad dash back to the trailer for some chassis tuning and tire change. We made it back out for last chance practice and the kart was better but still wasn’t what we were looking for. We hit the track for qualifying and ended up around 8th quickest. The kart was still a little tight so we decided on a couple chassis tweaks for the heat race. Heat race time came around and I quickly found out our chassis tweaks were too drastic and the kart was so loose it was damn near impossible to get around the track and I decided to pull off 3 laps into the heat race. The DNF in the heat race put me to the tail for the start of the feature and we decided to put the kart setup back where it was earlier in the day just to get the kart drivable again. Starting on the tail (16th) is never fun but it ain’t over till it’s over! Made it up to 7th towards the end of the feature and ended up dropping a couple spots and finishing 9th! Overall a good weekend and happy with the outcome considering the struggles in the heat race. Wanna shout out to David Ridenbaugh for talking me into making the trip and busting his butt all day at the track to help me with the kart and also to Stanley Caroline III for tech support over the phone! Thank you to all the people that make this possible and my cheerleaders that had to stay home in Ohio this weekend!

The last bullet in the RRT holster for 2026 has arrived.

We present the Seay HiPerformance Codasur 175 mounted to a new Champion Performance Products Performer.

Body work was created by Seay HiPerformance and A&M Fiberglass Manufacturing, LLC.

Bolt kits and hubs are built by Five Three Titanium .

On this little beauty, Champion Performance Products has customized several parts. They created a band new chain guard bent and welded out of aluminum and then powder coated that mounts to the side of the Seay HiPerformance seat. Next they fabricated a new radiator system including mounting of the the water pump in a nice hidden area. Go ahead, try to find it. They also worked up a great adjustable muffler mount and modified the exhaust pipe so it fit better overall.

This week Jason Finigan will be working on getting the graphics from Carpy's installed.

Depending on weather, we hope to get this beast on the track this weekend at the Lake Erie UAS points race at Cridersville Speedway.

Let us know your thoughts below and we look forward to seeign you in a week.
