BETHPAGE, TN – Smithereen Pest Management Services, a leader in the pest control industry since 1888, is pleased to announce that State-Line Exterminating is now officially Smithereen. While Smithereen acquired the company in April 2025, a strategic decision was made to wait one year before rebranding to ensure a smooth transition for the community. This milestone marks Smithereen's continued expansion into the Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky markets.

The acquisition brings together two companies deeply committed to Integrated Pest Management (IPM)—a proactive approach that emphasizes effective, safe, and environmentally sensitive solutions. For over 25 years, State-Line Exterminating has served the Bethpage community with customized residential and commercial pest control, specializing in termites, bed bugs, and rodent mitigation.

Official Rebranding: Following a year-long integration period, State-Line Exterminating is now operating officially as Smithereen.
Expert Team Continuity: Smithereen is proud to announce that Tim Brown (State-Line owner), Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) and past President of the Tennessee Pest Control Association, has stayed on along with his entire service team. This ensures that customers will continue to receive care from the same industry-leading experts they have trusted for years.
Leadership: Jeff Furman has been appointed as the Operations Manager for the Bethpage branch, overseeing daily service excellence alongside the local team.

Sustainability: Both companies share a core value of "Green" pest control. Smithereen was the first Green Shield Certified company in Illinois and has now brought these environmentally conscious standards to its Tennessee operations.
