All Scarfed Up! Caroline and Pat were excellent students and made it a great fun day full of laughter and weaving.

Day 17: Most Worn/Loved

I make a lot of pieces but out of all the years of crocheting this by far has been my absolute favorite beanie!

Day 16: Throwback

So yeah ummm, I can explain… šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

May 2019 my parents abandoned me for a life in Florida. Mom said do something crafty again, sew, cross-stitch or crochet. I said Crochet. By the end of May I had 100+ skeins of yarn, 1 Circular Knitting machine.

June 2019 I worked in my first ever Rigid Heddle Loom.

Today, don’t ask so I don’t have to curve the truth. Asking me how much yarn I have is like asking what’s in my lingerie drawer… nunyahdangbiz! šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

I now have an amazing 16ā€ Ashford Rigid Heddle loom my hubby bought me for Mother’s Day last year and then the rabbit hole opened up to the multiverse. 3 floor looms ranging from 24ā€ to 54 inches, several tapestry looms, a dozen pin looms, a 3-7 foot modular Tri loom and I’m over the moon about it. It’s my safe space, my place to create and now teach! You heard me… TEACH! The things God will do with these hands are about His business and none other… Young Gifted and Black!

Day 15: WIP Tally….

Hhhmmmm, that’s a loaded one considering I’ve always been known to have a different project for every day of the week. Being a fiber artist and delving into clothing making via weaving on floor looms there’s always something going on in my world of fiber arts.

This year however I’ve set ā€œproject goalsā€, set timelines that can be adjusted based on my mood, the weather, spontaneous weekend road trips or difficult yarns and needles and heddles not working properly.
All that to say, I have many works in progress but am learning to tapper them down because my long term goals need to be tended too in their garden..
