Reality check: never did I think I was going to have to apply a TQ to my own son.
•
Gunnar tried to jump the baby gate on the stairs, it collapsed with him landing on it. The puncture wound to his upper thigh had all the hallmarks of a femoral bleed, to which we applied a and a pressure dressing while handled the 911 call like a champ. Thankfully the bleed was controlled quickly and there was zero vascular damage.

It can happen to anyone, we will forever have the adults and able bodied children in the home trained and stocked up on trauma med supplies.
