A Valentine’s Day Betrayal

I am a cheater...
if you ask him.

He says I found someone else.
And he’s right.

I did. I found myself.

After 41 years
I can finally say, without shame:

I love her.

I love her flaws.
Her tears.
Her scars.
Her softness.
Her power.

She is worthy.
She is sacred.

And for her -
I will rearrange my life.
I will break old agreements.

Because abandoning myself
was never love.
