Great news! A new recommendation in the age for screening for breast cancer has been announced by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF)!

A noticeable increase in breast cancer diagnoses earlier and earlier in addition to higher mortality rates in Black women has caused change in the average age of beginning mammograms to 40 years old instead of the previously recommended 50.
