The proper squeegee technique is one of the most important fundamentals in professional Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation.

In this video, we demonstrate how to correctly use a squeegee to remove all water and installation solution from the surface. While many installers focus on positioning the film, the final result often depends on how effectively moisture is extracted from beneath the PPF.

Trapped water can lead to unwanted whitening, moisture pockets, delayed adhesion, and visual imperfections once the film begins to cure. That’s why it’s critical to use firm, controlled squeegee strokes and, when necessary, make two or even three passes to ensure complete extraction.

We also emphasize the importance of paying close attention to edges, corners, and difficult areas where water tends to hide. These are the spots that often get overlooked and can create problems days after the installation is completed.
