Tonight this painting joins the Pink Martini Party at Aloft Downtown, raising hope and healing for the American Cancer Society.
First time using my new easel! It’s a beauty but my baby of 16 years is in the background just watching. I honestly feel guilty. 🫣

On a sunny cool day. I swung among the trees. A pretty green bird flew to a branch above. Fearless and curious he seemed to be yet I was too distracted to notice. Vibrant green body with deep blue tale, head tilted he stared back as if I was just as pretty. Only when he swooped down did I grow weary of his intentions. His landing, on my back was quite alarming. He waited for me to calm then walked to my shoulder. Here, perched on my shoulder is all he wanted.
