Character Coin

Waterstone is super excited to present Maggie Mullinax, a 4th grader at Pamela Hodson Elementary in Owasso with a Character Coin today for her exceptional character and huge heart in helping a friend in need.
When a friend of hers couldn't play football because of the expense, Maggie got to work producing and selling her own "human friendly" slime to raise the money to fulfill his dream. After a social media campaign and a few weeks of production, Maggie raised the entire $650 needed for the FOR Football fees.

A month ago we delivered 200 coins to Rejoice, and they have already run out! We just delivered 400 Character Coins to Rejoice Christian School! Thank you Kelli Owens for requesting more coins and sharing your stories with us. 😀

“I've given each of our administrator’s coins to distribute when they see students going above and beyond in the area of character development. I'll share the story of my first recipient of the Gold Coins.
I called Jessica into my office and handed her the black pouch with the two coins inside. I told her that she is the most positive girl in the junior class, and she always smiles at everyone in the hallway or class. She always asks if I need any help doing anything around school. Her positive attitude is contagious and shines every day. I told her she was my first recipient, and she had to pass on the 2nd coin to someone that she felt touched the lives of others, like I saw in her. She came back the next week to share a similar story with me that she passed the coin on to a girl that touched her, and many other lives,” said Gary Oberste, Dean of Student Activities at Bishop Kelley High School.

It is an absolute joy to partner with some amazing schools! Rejoice Christian School just received another 200 Character Coins. We are so proud of their students, and our community of Owasso! 😀
