Happy IBCLC Day!

Today, I’m celebrating the incredible journey of being an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant! Being an IBCLC is more than just a profession—it’s my passion.

I have the honor of supporting parents and their little ones through one of the most meaningful journeys: breastfeeding.

From the first latch to overcoming challenges, I love being part of these special moments, offering guidance, encouragement, and evidence-based support. Watching families grow in confidence and babies thrive is the most rewarding part of what I do!

To all the IBCLCs out there, thank you for your dedication to helping families nourish, bond, and succeed. And to every parent I’ve worked with—thank you for trusting me to be part of your story.

Today, we get to 4 years of breastfeeding.
He is my graduation as an IBCLC.

With my first child, I couldn't breastfeed exclusively, and no longer than three months in combination with formula.
Why? Because I didn't know how breastfeeding works and I didn't have the proper support and a lactation consultant to help me through it. So, I became one myself.

My son gave me back the opportunity to do it right, to prove that we women can breastfeed our children, and to empower me to go and help other moms in need.

Why do we still do it? The best answer I can give you is because WE still enjoy it and want it.
