Murray has stolen my heart once again! š©š
Located at 103 North Sixth Street in Murray, the Will Linn house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The house was built in 1899-1900 and was originally situated on the northwest corner of Main and Sixth Streets. It was moved to the rear of the lot in 1929 when a gas station was built on the corner site. It was one of the first three houses in Murray to have water pumped into the kitchen.
The Linn house was home to Murray Art Guild for more than three decades. While it has been thoroughly updated to suit modern tastes, some original elements like pocket doors, transom windows, door k***s, a paneled oak staircase, and a massive built-in oak cabinet remained at the time it last sold (per my Zillow peeping). This house has been through a lotāa reminder that no historic house or district can stand the test of time without funding and prioritization.
