Back in the 1970s, if you wanted to watch world-class football in Los Angeles, you went to see the Los Angeles Aztecs.
George Best. Johan Cruyff. Hollywood. California sunshine.
And among the supporters was Jack Nicholson, backing one of the most iconic clubs the city has ever known.
Nearly 50 years on, the badge still means something. The memories still matter. And the story is far from over.

Tonight, football comes home to its roots.
The Los Angeles Aztecs proudly stand with Mexico as they face England in the FIFA World Cup.
There are no divided loyalties here. The Aztecs name, spirit and history were born from Mexico’s rich football culture. We wish El Tri the very best under the lights tonight.
May the best team win, and may the game be worthy of the 1970 legacy that inspired generations.
