SHARE THE PATH: SLOW DOWN. GIVE SPACE. SHOW RESPECT.

Respect and Courtesy are free to everyone.

Pasco’s parks and riverfront paths are for everyone. We have received complaints about e-bikes and motorized scooters traveling too fast or passing too closely to people who are walking, jogging, pushing strollers, or walking dogs.

If you are riding a bicycle or e-bike on a shared path, please slow down near pedestrians, give them plenty of room, and let them know before passing. A bell or a friendly “on your left” goes a long way.

Here are a few important reminders:

*When riding on the roadway, bicycle and e-bike riders must obey traffic signs, signals, and the applicable rules of the road.

*Helmets are strongly recommended for every rider.

*Parents, please make sure young riders know what they are riding, where it is allowed, and the rules they must follow before they head out. A rider’s age does not change the responsibility to ride safely and follow the rules.

*A few minutes of education can prevent a collision and help everyone enjoy our parks and riverfront safely.

RIDE SMART. SLOW DOWN. SHARE THE PATH.

GRAND OLE 4th OF JULY PARADE!

It was another amazing event in downtown Pasco. Thousands came out to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday today. Thanks to everyone for showing up and we appreciated your support and patience with the traffic. We already can’t wait until next year.

When you're taking a fireworks complaint on the 4th of July...

"...and the caller is pointing at each explosion.”

We see them, too. And we want to help, but there are 30 other pending calls for all types of incidents.

The Pasco Police Department is dedicated to keeping the people and property of Pasco safe. This 4th of July, we ask everyone to celebrate responsibly and exercise caution. We also ask for patience as we deal with what is sure to be a busy Saturday night in Pasco.
